Martial Arts and Christianity

Christianity, True Christianity and True Martial Arts share the same belief, school of thought, truth, that we are Spiritual Beings having a physical experience in the world. Christianity explains that Man, is a Spirit, with a Soul and dwells in a Body; in Martial Arts, we have it, Body, Mind (Soul) and Spirit, it true sequence is as in Christianity Sprit, Mind (Soul) and Body.

The sequence of Body, Mind and Spirit, that is taught is Martial Arts goes back to the founding fathers of Martial Arts; these founding father observed that due to the weakness of their bodies and mind, they could not maintain the degree of meditation required to achieve spiritual illumination. As a result they created a set of prearranged movements and exercises to strengthen the body and condition the mind for spiritual growth.

Now, over the ages, Martial Arts have grown to become a formidable combative science, however, its true essence is for Spiritual Illumination. Like all things there are those that have misunderstood what Martial Arts is all about, and have stop at the basic (baby) level of the Art; they think that it’s just, Fighting; likewise, there are those that have misunderstood the teachings of Christ, thinking that Jesus came to give a Religion, [“I came that ye may have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10b)].

The Martial Artist who is in Christ, the Martial Arts Instructor who is in Christ, know that in the World of Martial Arts, in our World, we polish the Human Spirit through the ecstasy of sweat, in the confines of the dojo (training hall), as we exercise the body and condition the mind, as we subjugate, as Peter says in 2 Peter 1:4-7, with all diligence our Mind and Body, to the power of our Spirit and penetrate the depths of our Spirit, and in Faith touch face with Christ that resides in us, and in so doing develop the universal principles, traits, characteristics and virtues of Christian Energy.

As we train! We grow and expand our minds in knowledge [emotionally & intellectually], as we subjugate our Body & Mind to our Spirit, and our Spirit to Christ, we learn to keep ourselves in check, in Self-Control, Patients. As we conquer our Spirit, and grow and perfect the Sprit of God in us (John 3:30); we come to know only Godliness, only Brotherly Affection, only CHRISTian Love.

Martial Arts is more than hitting the pads, chopping boards in two, or tournaments; it is a vehicle for exercising the Body and conditioning the Mind for the journey of Spiritual Living.

For the Martial Artist who is in Christ, it is a language for proclaiming the Gospel.

Peace Peace.

Who Am I?

Have you ever asked yourself the question, ‘Who am I? Well, there are 2 schools of thought on this issue; there is the school of thought that says man is a:
1. Natural Being
a. Is born of flesh, Purely Sensory, only interested feeding the lust of the flesh
2. Spiritual Being
a. Is a Spirit, With a Soul, Lives in a Body

In response to the question, Who Am I? We are Spiritual Beings, created in the likeness of God (the greatness, the grace & the glory of Him); the scriptures, tell us, that God is a Spirit [John 4:24]. But get this! That we are, Spiritual Being, is not really the complete answer, the totality of the answer is that we, are Sons of God, more still we are gods [Psalms 82:6].

However, there is a prerequisite for laying claim to the identity Son of God, children of the Most High; this is the requirement, that you recognise, believe in, cleave to, trust in, rely on Christ the Messiah; you may ask, why? The scriptures, also tells us, that the only way, to God, is through Jesus Christ [John 14:6].

To this end our Lord and Saviour, Jesus, gave us two, only 2 conditions to meet:
1. Believe in Him [John 5: 22-24]
2. Be born, anew
a. Unless a man be born anew, he cannot see the Kingdom of God [John 3:3]
b. Unless a man be born of Water and the (Holy) Spirit he cannot enter into the Kingdom of God [John 3:5]

We entered the world with a body, because in the world, the physical body must come first, now that it is here, we must now awaken the Spirit, our Spiritual Self by baptism in the Holy Ghost; but first we have to eat the body of Christ and drink the blood of Christ, apportion to ourselves the saving effect of His sacrificial death.

My friends, my brethrens, my people, I invite you to make Christ the Lord of your life, by praying this prayer:

‘I [state your name] believe that Jesus Christ is the True Son of God, the Messiah, who came into the world from God the Father to die for me and cleans my sins. I receive Jesus Christ into my heart, soul & spirit, into my life, as my Lord & Saviour. I declare that I am saved; from this day forth I am a child of God, In Jesus’ Name - Amen’.

It’s been a plum pleasing pleasure and privilege to share with you the Good New.

Be Strong, Peace be upon you, may the Grace of our Lord abound forever in your life. [Find your nearest church @ http://www.christembassy.org]

Look through the eyes of your Spirit - Seeing with the eyes of a Prophet

What do you see?

When you look at the market, the economy, what do you see?
A percentage of people will look at the economy and see, a crisis, doom & gloom, recession, credit crunch; whilst a percentage of us will see, opportunities, glimmer, a market poised and primed ready to yield to us our fortunes.

To end up on top in the current age, you have to be a certain type of person:
• you must first behold the possibilities
• then you must be ready to capitalise on openings, taking proactive steps to position yourself for the shift
o you’ll have to assess your skills & skill gap
o your needs & capacities (inherent gifts & talents) that can be traded to yield income
• be faithfilled (no, not faithful), faithfilled, people that hath been building themselves up, on their most high faith

As organisations lay off tens of thousands, and tens of thousands and tens of thousands of people, the ones that will keeps their jobs are those people that can help the organisation:
• redefine itself
• reposition itself
• remodel itself for growth
basically people that can help it transform and transcend.

These people will not be found amongst the percentage that have the stinking negative thinking of doom & gloom, arrested by the fear of their emotion and blinded by short sightedness.

No, the victors, the champions, the overcomers will be those that can see afar, hath strong & great faith on the brighter day that is to come, prepared [have acquired new skills & talent, have the knowledge & wisdom, have stood strong] & watchful [alert for opportunities, opening, niche, a new need in the market].

My friends, since times gone by, to our present age and the age to come, this adage has been consistent, “your future is in your hand” – in the life that you see for yourself and the things that you speak into existence by your mouth.

It’s Good News, The Good News – The Gospel. Peace Peace

Joy

If you look around today you’ll find people that are morose physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually; I’ve often wondered what causes this state of being, and I’m convinced that the main root of this feeling is the fact that most people have lost or forgotten the way of being joyous.

A majority of people in this daynage find themselves bondsman to a system that tirelessly put demand on their resource, physically, mentally and to an ever increasing extent, spiritually. We are made to be so busy and expanding all our energy in activities that doesn’t satisfy or fulfil us, that we don’t have the time to engage in fulfilling regenerative pursuits.

Religion, that for a long time has tried to act as the equaliser, has fallen prey to the old adage ‘if you can’t beat them join them’; today people see religion as a duty that must be transacted, as opposed to a transformational experience.

I recall reading somewhere in the scriptures the statement “… be still and know that I am God”, translated, we sometimes need to stop and smell the coffee, stop and enjoy the fruits of our labour, stop and smell the roses, stop and bask in the pleasures ‘beauty of the moment’.

Faith

There is a lot of talk about having faith; however, whom should one have faith in? Some say have faith in God; another school of thought says, have faith in your fellow Human Being, yet others say, have faith in yourself. This is what the scriptures say:
1. What profit is it to a person to have faith and not work
2. Faith without work is dead
3. Show me your work and I’ll show you your faith
4. By work a man is justified and not by faith
5. The body without spirit is dead, likewise so faith without work is dead also
The heart of the matter is, the more we expand our energy in daily toil we are relieved. Active Faith is finding the will from within our self.

Why Me?

Sometimes we are so focused on our own problems & challenges that we makes ourselves inaccessible (unapproachable) to people, and sometimes the very people that can aid us.

If you think about it, Jesus Christ, still preached, showed love, caring, compassion, healed the sick, raised the dead, etc. He did all this with the full knowledge that the Scriptures had to be fulfilled (about) by Him.

So, what can we learn from this? That we ought to aspire to grow into the fullness of the Measure of Christ in our daily lives.

Agapa; If we walk in Agapa, if we can only walk from Agapa, then in the mist of turmoil we’ll have Peace.

Is There …

A Difference, in saying ‘I Am tired, I Am hungry, I Am angry’ and ‘I feel tired, I feel hungry, I feel angry’?

Well, ‘I Am’ is a language of the Spirit denotes ones Spiritual Being - hence, when we say ‘I Am …’ we make confessions, proclamation in the Spiritual Realms which in time gets manifested in the Physical Realms.

On the other side ‘I feel’ refers to the natural body, the body can feel, hungry, tired, or sleepy, because it was designed to. If the body is in need of food, feed it; if it’s tired, rest it; if it’s sleepy, sleep.

All these things does not affect your Spiritual Self, save the thing you speak ‘I Am …’

It gives a whole new meaning to Self Talk
